Pet of the week: Shorty

EUGENE, Oregon – Shorty is a lovable dog looking for an active family who will make sure he gets regular exercise and lots of love.

This friendly dog loves to play and his tail rarely stops wagging. Her cute and goofy personality will win the hearts of many families. He would likely do well in a household with older children or teenagers who can help him learn new skills.

Shorty would benefit from obedience training to help him learn better dog manners. He seems excited to meet other dogs, but unless the dog is very tolerant, Shorty should start out as the only pet in the house.

Shorty is a basset hound-Labrador retriever mix that is 1 year old and weighs around 35 pounds. Her fee is $ 200, which will help pay for accommodation costs such as sterilization, vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.

Shorty was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI presents a homeless pet in the newspaper from noon to 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
