ICSSA to waive pet adoption fees at annual Saturday event – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

WASHINGTON TWP. – Starting today, the ICSSA Adoption and Pet Welfare Center will be hosting its 2nd Annual Adopt-ober Festival.

The event is being held in the hope that several dogs and cats will be adopted into loving homes forever, according to a spokesperson for the organization.

The free adoption event will take place this afternoon from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Washington Township facility of ASCIS.

“We are delighted to welcome the Adoption-ober Fest with Wagner Subaru again this year,” said Nicole Carey, Director of the Adoption Program for ASCIS. “Thanks to ASPCA and Wagner Subaru, we are able to waive adoption fees for all of our animals available at this event.”

The event will offer both pre-arranged and walk-in adoption appointments. Normal adoption matching and counseling services with potential adopters will take place.

To make an appointment to adopt, guests can call 937-294-6505 and request a time slot for Saturday, October 16. All participants should plan to wear a mask and social distancing in an appropriate manner.
