Carson City Humane Society wants your pet’s photo on the side of the animal control vehicle; participate in the contest until June | Carson City Nevada News

Do you have a particularly photogenic (or, alternatively, particularly UNphotogenic) pet that you think deserves as much public attention as possible? Well, here’s your chance! The Nevada Humane Society is holding a contest to select two pets whose likenesses will be plastered on the animal control officer’s vehicle.

Throughout June, the Humane Society will be accepting entries from Carson City residents, and at the end of the month, Mayor Lori Bagwell — a longtime animal lover and supporter of the Nevada Humane Society — will select the two winners.

Steps to enter the competition:

1. Send a photo of your pet to: [email protected]
2. Be sure to include the following details:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your pet’s name
  • Your pet’s favorite place to visit in Carson City
  • Any details you want to share with us about the quality of your pet (optional)

3. Click send

It’s so simple!

The two pets selected as winners of this contest will each receive a professional photoshoot to ensure they have high quality, glamorous photos that we can use on the Animal Control Officer vehicle and their owners can keep those beautiful photos.

“We are thrilled to select a pair of pets from Carson City to be the new faces of our Animal Control Officer vehicle,” said Kristin Sickler of the Nevada Humane Society. “The pets selected as winners of our photo contest will accompany our animal control officers every day as they do their vital work to keep pets and people in our community safe.”
